What the Homeowners Needed

The Solution
As with most new extensions, the floor needed a smooth base before any LVT could be fitted. We had to screed the subfloor to create the ideal surface — a standard and important step to ensure the flooring sits perfectly.
Once the screed had dried we installed the LVT the homeowners had chosen. We made sure the boards ran the full length of the room, helping the space feel open and connected from one end to the other. Finishing touches like trims and thresholds were added to complete the clean look.
Throughout the job, we kept communication simple and clear so the homeowners always knew what stage we were at.
The Results
The finished floor has completely transformed the extended kitchen.
The light-toned LVT creates a sense of length, flow, and spaciousness, especially through the different areas of the room. Combined with the exposed beams and natural light the result is warm, elegant and cohesive.
